KARANGAN SURAT RASMI

Pegawai Daerah Muar,
Pejabat Daerah Muar,

Tuan,
Sekian. Terima kasih.
Yang berharap,
Wan Khodri

❤ Healthy teeth – why do we need them ❤

One of the biggest problems of the humankind is the presence of very dangerous mouth diseases. To be frank, years ago they were even more dangerous, because devices like toothbrushes and toothpastes weren't accessible. Nowadays, we are trying to fight with those illnesses in many different ways. There are numerous specialists in order to solve the teeth and mouth problems. Virtually, in most of the cases, we are guilty for the unpleasant condition of our mouth. We are either not following the simple hygienic rules or we are not sufficiently prepared for this battle. However, if we are not protected from the mouth illnesses, we can have many troubles. Although there are excellent orthodontists, we must take care of our teeth. Precisely for that reason, the health of each tooth is quite important and necessary for accomplishing in order to have normal life.
The smile is the thing that is wanted from everyone. How we can smile if our teeth are decaying or lacking. Moreover, when we are eating the main and only means for doing this are the teeth. Without them, we won't be able to feed, smile or feel in a good mood. The teeth are important for the speech as well.
If we do not care enough for our teeth, the results can be catastrophic. For example, taking care of our mouth will contribute for successful removing of the unpleasant bacteria, which are settled in it. The hugest rival of our teeth health is the presence of the plaque. Its germs become crazy when we eat something, and start shuttling in the mouth in order to feed. The eating from our food isn't the problem. After their basic meal, they leave behind them an indefinite quantity of acid, which harms the enamel of our teeth. The consequences can be different, but the main one is the caries. When the outermost layer of a tooth is cracked and there is a condition for cavity, the tooth decaying is already activated. What is more, there is a possibility of developing even bigger problems. The abscess is one of them. However, the presence of the plaque can lead in another direction. For instance, if we do not brush our teeth regularly, and the plaque remains, it is possible to be hit by the appearing of the tartar. Moreover, avoiding caring of our mouth's health can deliver other diseases like gum disease, dry mouth, bad breath, tooth erosion and so on. Indeed, the most dangerous products for our teeth are those, which contain acidic or sugary components. Hence, we need to be very cautious of what we are eating and drinking.
Above all, now you know why we need to be aware for the health of our teeth.

The Singing School: An American Tradition

The Singing School was an institution that was uniquely American. it was
established to serve a dual purpose: the desire to create music and the need for
sociability. Generations were taught to read and sing music by itinerant singing
masters, who developed characteristic methods and materials of instruction, and
distinctive performance practices. Through this institution, many people were
given the opportunity to participate in music, either as a singer, a teacher, or
as a composer. The Singing School foreshadowed the development of church choirs
and musical societies.

Early settlers in this country brought with them their native English
music, both sacred and secular. They made use of various Psalters compiled in
Europe. It was not until 1640, however, that the Puritan ministers in America
made their own translation of the psalms. The Bay Psalm Book was the first book
printed in British North America and was widely used. The most distinguishing

feature of this book was its rhymed and metered English poetry. This allowed a
few tunes, having the same rhythms as the poetry, to be used as melodies for
many psalms. In addition, the text employed the vernacular, and consequently
promoted memorization. The ninth edition of the Bay Psalm Book, published in
1698, was the first edition published with tunes. This edition had printed the
letters F-S-L-M, representing the solmization syllables fa, sol, la, and mi,
under the notes. This indicates that there was a familiarity with and an
interest in music instruction as applied to psalmody.

It was not until the early 18th century, however, that as a direct
result of agitation by ministers for a reformation in congregational singing,
arguments were advanced promoting regular singing and the eventual establishment
of singing schools.
